Partners have learned and achieved a lot in this time.
Many of Safer Swansea's achievements and innovative services are recognised locally and held up as Best Practice nationally.
Car crime has been dramatically reduced, there is less violence in our city centre and graffiti is kept to a minimum.
These achievements, among many others, have been achieved through commitment to partnership working. No single person or organisation can solve a community safety issue. It tackles crime and disorder, seeking out the causes and dealing with them appropriately.
By channeling diverse expertise, knowledge and shared determination, the partnership is building safer communities for all.
Community safety is no longer restricted to crime and disorder. It is ultimately a quality of life issue which requires input and commitment from a wide range of partners.
Safer Swansea has a duty to ensure people are sufficiently protected from a range of real and perceived dangers. This includes crime, anti-social behaviour, fire accidents at home, and providing support and protection for people who are affected by such issues.
